Animal, Vegetable, Mineral Part 1
This video installation was instigated by painter Jennifer Wolf to accompany her exhibition, “Cavings”. I discovered a visual vocabulary generated by the actual subject as well as the manipulation of the camera. Working with exposure, built-in, and post digital effects, the results were like abstract impressionist paintings. Dreamlike images - images that the eyes do not see in real time and space. The configuration of the three screens supports the flow of the imagery by creating yet another dynamic. |
